As of this posting there are 3 months, 3 days, 21 hours and 31 minutes till 'take off' and I'm outta Dodge--before the storm that's predicted. By the way, "Free Countdown Timer" (links will continue to be displayed in RED) is a great app for your PC to keep track of useless information like I do. Anyway, fifty percent of an enjoyable task is completed; that of working with the online KOA reservations app, Google maps (for times and distances) and speaking with refreshingly polite southern folks at the non-KOA campgrounds. It became very apparent that it was not too early to be planning trips south during the height of their snow bird season. The other fifty percent will be the actual traveling, overnight stays and eventual getting together with fifteen of my friends. I've colored those visits in red. Unfortunately, because there's no availability in the Del Ray Beach area, I will have to forego seeing seven other friends and relatives in that area. Michele, at the place I stayed at in 2015, like others in Florida, indicated they're booked solid January through March. Good for them. One of my stays on the way back home was to be at St. George Island State Park in St. George Island, FL. Surprised to learn they were opened for business despite the ravages of Hurricane Irma, I was told that they too, were booked solid. Another tip for pre-planners. With State Parks you usually have to go through Reserve America. I preferred to speak to a human and when I found I couldn't book St. George State Park, the helpful representative directed me to another state park close by; St. Andrews State
Park also right on the Gulf in Panama City, FL. Their number for Florida (only) State parks is 1-800-326-3521.

So here is my itinerary sort of "written in stone" because of deposits or full payments already made. Unlike other RVers, I can't (or choose not to) fly by the seat of my pants and come and go as I please...not yet anyway. I'm also looking forward once again to writing and photographing the events that enter my RV travels.
