Fort Wilderness in Disney 2/10 - 2//17/2016 Part II

And finally, as with all good things, the end has come.  My last day at Disney's Ft. Wilderness, Tuesday, February 16th. Tomorrow, a 5 hour trip awaits to the far west on Florida's panhandle to Eastpoint's Coastline RV Resort. February 12th marked the midpoint of my 55 day Winter Adventure. From this point on, my travels will be northward through Alabama, Tennessee, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Thankfully, I was afforded one more visit by good friends, Craig & Trish, who traveled all the way over from Celebration (8 minutes) so we could dine together at another restaurant in the Ft. Wilderness area, Crockett's Tavern,  Photos below are from the website and show better views than my iPhone would at night.  Although we enjoyed the pizza and drinks, there were only the bar stools inside...totally occupied--and no tables so we wound up enjoying the quiet picnic table outside under the covered porch.

The take-out window

Inside the 8 seats (only 5 shown here) at the bar.
All were occupied with no signs that the patrons
were about to leave.

A view looking inside at the small area devoted to the
tavern and its pub food.

Very tasty pizza picked up at the take out window
was hot and would have reminded you of an order
from Pizza Hut.

Two pix on the way back to the bus returning
us to the campsite. I find I look much better in the dark.

This young couple look great day and night.
Thank you CJ & Trish for making my
"last supper" a fun one.

No, not a composite view; rather only
the hand rail coming between them.

An updated photo that will make its
way to replace the one I already have
on my Wall of Fame.

See you in Eastpoint, FL for my next blog.

  1. So glad you ended your Disney stay with a visit from two wonderful friends. You can't ask for more than that. Enjoy your stay on the gulf.

    Safe travels.
